【摘要】:Thecontactangletestisnondestructiveandmaybeusedforcontrolandevaluationofprocessesfortheremovalofhydrophobiccontaminants.Thetestmayalsobeusedforthedetectionandcontrolofhydrophobiccontaminantsinprocessingambients.Forthisapplication,asurfacefreeofhydrophobicfilmsisexposedtotheambientconditionsandissubsequentlytested.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedetectionofhydrophobiccontaminationonglasssurfacesbymeansofcontactanglemeasurements.Whenproperlyconducted,thetestwillenabledetectionoffractionsofmonomolecularlayersofhydrophobicorganiccontaminants.Veryroughorporoussurfacesmaysignificantlydecreasethesensitivityofthetest.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
