【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthesusceptibilityofcement-aggregatecombinationstoexpansivereactionsinvolvinghydroxylionsassociatedwiththealkalies(sodiumandpotassium)bymeasurementoftheincrease(ordecrease)inlengthofmortarbarscontainingthecombinationduringstorageunderprescribedconditionsoftest.1.2Alkaliesparticipatingintheexpansivereactionsusuallyarederivedfromthecement;undersomecircumstancestheymaybederivedfromotherconstituentsoftheconcreteorfromexternalsources.Twotypesofalkalireactivityofaggregatesarerecognized:(1)analkali-silicareactioninvolvingcertainsiliceousrocks,minerals,andnaturalorartificialglassesand(2)analkali-carbonatereactioninvolvingdolomiteincertaincalciticdolomitesanddolomiticlimestones(seeStandardC294).Themethodisnotrecommendedasameanstodetectthelatterreactionbecauseexpansionsproducedinthemortar-bartestbythealkali-carbonatereaction(seeTestMethodC586)aregenerallymuchlessthanthoseproducedbythealkali-silicareactionforcombinationshavingequallyharmfuleffectsinservice.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thenon-SIvalues,showninparentheses,areforinformationalpurposesonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
