【摘要】:Thistestmethodoutlinesaprocedureforthedeterminationofoxidative-inductiontime(OIT)ofpolymericmaterialsbydifferentialscanningcalorimetry(DSC).Itisapplicabletopolyolefinresinsthatareinafullystabilized/compoundedform.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecifichazardsinformationisgiveninSection8.Note1ThistestmethodissimilartoISO11357-6,butnotequivalent.ISOprocedureprovidesadditionalinformationnotsuppliedbythistestmethod.

【摘要】:ThisEuropeanPrestandardspecifiesamanualmethodofmakingmeasurementsforthedeterminationofvolumefractionofmajorphasesinadvancedtechnicalceramicsusingmicrographsofpolishedandetchedsections,overlayingasquaregridoflines,andcountingthenumberofintersectionslyingovereachphase.NOTE1Thismethodassumesthatthetruephasevolumefractionsareequivalenttoareafractionsonarandomlycutcrosssectionaccordingtostereologicalprinciples.NOTE2GuidelinesforpolishingandetchingofadvancedtechnicalceramicscanbefoundinannexesAandB.Themethodappliestoceramicswithoneormoredistinctsecondaryphases,suchasfoundinAl2O3/ZrO2,Si/SiC,orAl2O3/SiCw.Ifthetestmaterialcontainsdiscretepores,thesecanbetreatedasasecondaryphaseforthepurposeofthismethodprovidedthatthereisnoevidenceofgrainpluck-outduringpolishingbeingconfusedwithgenuinepores.NOTE3Ifthematerialcontainsmorethanabout20%porositythereisastrongriskthatthemicrostructurewillbedamagedduringthepolishingprocess,andmeasurementofvolumefractionofporesmaybecomemisleading.Secondaryphasevolumefractionsorporositypresentatlevelsoflessthan0,05aresubjecttoconsiderableerrorandpotentialscatterinresults.Alargernumberofmicrographsthantheminimumofthreeisnormallyneededtoimprovetheconsistencyandaccuracyoftheresults.NOTE4Manyceramicscontainsmallamountsofsecondaryglassyphases.Inordertomakeareasonableestimateofglassyphasecontent,theglassmaterialbetweencrystallinegrainsshouldbereadilyobservable,andthusshouldbeatleast0,5μminwidth.ThemethodinthisPrestandardisnotconsideredappropriatefornarrowglassyfilmsaroundgrains.Thismethodassumesthattheselectedregionsofapreparedcross-sectionarestatisticallyrepresentativeofthewholesampledsection.NOTE5Microstructuresareseldomhomogeneous,andthephasecontentscanvaryfrommicrographtomicrograph.Itisessentialtosurveyasufficientlywideareaofthepreparedsectiontoensurethatthoseareasselectedforevaluationarerepresentative,anddonotcontainingeye-catchingirregularities.SomeusersofthisPrestandardcanwishtoapplyautomaticorsemiautomaticimageanalysistomicrographsordirectlycapturedmicrostructuralimages.ThisiscurrentlyoutsidethescopeofthisPrestandard,butsomeguidelinesaregiveninannexC.
