【摘要】:ThisGuideprovidesguidanceonaddressingenvironmentalissuesinproductstandardsItisprimarilyintendedforproductstandardswriters.Itspurposeistooutlinetherelationshipbetweentheprovisionsinproductstandardsandtheenvironmentalaspectsandimpactsoftheproduct,toassistindraftingorrevisingprovisionsinproductstandardsinordertoreducepotentialadverseenvironmentalimpactsatdifferentstagesoftheentireproductlife-cycle,NOTE1SeeAnnexBforexamples.toemphasizethattakingintoaccountenvironmentalissuesinproductstandardsisacomplexprocessandrequiresbalancingcompetingpriorities,torecommendtheuseoflife-cyclethinkingwhendefiningenvironmentalprovisionsforaproductforwhichastandardisbeingdrafted,and--topromotethefuturedevelopmentofrelevantsectorguidesforaddressingenvironmentalissuesinproductstandardsbystandardswriters,consistentwiththeprinciplesandapproachesofthisGuideNOTE2SeeAnnexAWheneveranewproductstandardisdraftedoranexistingproductstandardisrevisedorintendedtoberevised,theprojectmanagersandtheirtechnicalcommitteechairman/convenersareencouragedtoactivelypromotetheapplicationofthisGuide.Furthermore,atanystageinthestandarddevelopmentprocess,expertsareencouragedtoincludeenvironmentalissuesintheircommentsInordertotakeaccountofthediversityofproductsandtheirspecificenvironmentalimpacts,aswellastheneedforrelevantenvironmentalknowledge,itisusefulforstandardswriterstoinvolveenvironmentalexpertsintheworkTheprojectmanagersandtheirtechnicalcommitteechairman/convenersmightwishtotakeintoaccountotherrelevant,currentsector-specificguidanceandenvironmentalprovisionsidentifiedinrelatedstandards.Unlesstheyarecloselyrelatedwithenvironmentalissues,thisGuidedoesnotaddressissuesofoccupationalhealthandsafetyorconsumersafetyasseparateorspecificaspectsoftheproductlife-cycleStandardswriterscanfindguidanceontheseissuesinotherguides.NOTE3SeeotherguideslistedintheBibliography.
